Social media networks started buzzing already a week before
Valentine’s day, with “Valentine’s Day” and other related hash-tags
constantly taking over Twitter and images and cartoons uploaded
onto Facebook walls.
Brands would be foolish not to take advantage of this…

Some proved that Geeks also need love:
A mathematical formula spread virally,
that resulted in a heart when entered as
a Google search query.
Rovio announced that they will be
launching Angry Birds on Facebook as a
Valentine’s treat for fans.

Heineken created an app. that creates a
serenade for your valentine.

And Animoto added 3 more styles for
people to create Valentine’s day videos

And aimed to help them find true

Starbucks made love come alive:
Starbucks created an augmented reality
campaign.
They also offer eGift-cards with the
same designs as the mugs.
Woolworths aligned all their platforms:
And created a cool campaign for the big day:
The Body Shop also took part…
And launched a range of products known for their aphrodisiac properties.
Lastly, what would Valentine’s be without Lindt & a proposal?
Lindt is giving away a Shimansky Millennium
diamond ring in the name of love. And chocolate
of course.
