Two Different Ways of Accepting Employee Management Software
The use of any kind of surveillance tools, including employee management software, still has debates going
around it
People split into two camps here: those who like it and those who don’t
Naturally, the first camp thinks that such software invades privacy at the workplace
And the second camp understands all the benefits of using employee management software
But What are the Reasons for the Debates?
The answer is: because two camps accept the same software differently
As you might have guessed, the first camp are employees
And the second camp are managers
So What Can Managers do to Have Employees on the Same Page?
Talk to employees: explain what the software does, which data it collects and how you’re going to use it
Ask employees: what they want to know about the software, why do they think it’s a bad idea, etc.
Tell about the benefits: the possibility to reduce workload, getting a promotion, having a flexible schedule,
etc.
