CRADLE OF HUMANKIND• In 2005, we researched and

wrote all the text for the scientific exhibits at Sterkfontein and Maropeng visitors’ centres in the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site

• We consulted with a panel of world-renowned palaeoanthropologists and scientists, to develop storylines for the exhibitions

• The R350-million project was officially opened by President Thabo Mbeki in December 2005 and has attracted wide media coverage and tens of thousands of visitors since its launch

• The 50,000-word storyline covers complex subjects such as the emergence of life on earth, human evolution and the sustainability of the planet in concise, readable chunks

• Flow was also commissioned to provide research background and write the scripts for the audio-visual elements in both exhibitions

• Flow produced an educational resource pack for the Cradle of Humankind.

• The Minister of Education, Naledi Pandor wrote the foreword, and the deputy minister launched the resource. Gauteng Education MEC Angie Motshega, endorsed the resource at its launch at Maropeng.
