Texas Chainsaw Analysis of trailer

Analysis of Shots - After watching the ‘Texas Chainsaw’ Trailer these are

the shots that I would like to recreate in my horror

production.

This shot shows the binary opposite of

‘Light & Dark’. The dark may show that

something is watching over her while the

light may portray the journey she is about

to start to solve the mystery..

This long shot is very interesting because the bars

portray a form of imprisonment as it shows confinement. Which suggests that as the

characters enter the house they have

automatically been ‘sentenced’ to death. This

shot also shows how someone may be watching

them as the characters are shown through the bars, which foreshadows that something's going

to happen.

The different lengths of the bars may suggest

each persons death. Suggesting that the short

bar is the representation of how quickly someone dies and the long bar is how long it

takes for a person to die.

Again this image shows a form of confinement

This image will relate to my production work

(trailer) as all the characters are new to this

environment not knowing what awaits them.

This image shows numerous amount of things.. From a

‘close up shot’ it shows how she is looking at herself in

the mirror while from another perspective an ‘over the

shoulder shot’ the shadow may be looking at her however is inside her as we see the outline traced around her body.
