BT Optio L-series

The new BT Optio L-series is a comprehensive range of low-level order picking trucks designed for the real world and for every application, including long-forked models for both ground and waist-level picking. With repetitive tasks like order picking, details matter. A Smooth Operator design concept means that these machines are built to maximise the overall performance of the people involved in the order picking process: Frequency-Adapted Suspension (option), storage compartments, an integrated shrinkwrap holder, a more comfortable backrest, and a better ‘step-up’ design for 2nd-level picking. BT Optio L-series’ AC drive technology is robust and reliable, delivering high performance with minimal maintenance.

ProductivityThere is an L-series model for every application, from lower-intensity up to high-intensity multi-load, high-throughput operations. All L-series models can be operated from the side so that they can be walked along between picking positions without the picker needing to get on and drive. The fork height can also be adjusted from this position.

DriveabilityThe Smooth Operator concept ensures class-leading driveability. E-man steering allows safe and comfortable one-handed operation. The steering control can be set to either side of the truck (optional) to facilitate ‘walk-with’ and reverse-direction driving. The E-bar option ensures that all L-series models can easily accommodate on-board computers, scanners and printers. For 2nd-level picking, P models have easy-to-use platform lift for fast, safe and efficient operation.

SafetyThe operator is fully protected by the truck when driving – 60° rotation of the E-man control unit moves the steered wheel 100°, ensuring that no part of the operator’s body need be outside the truck’s profile. Automatic speed reduction in cornering helps to ensure that people, infrastructure and loads are safe.

DurabilityAll BT Optio L-series models are built to renowned Toyota Production System standards, meaning high quality and reliability in use. The AC power system reduces wear and tear, including regenerative motor braking, which eliminates the need for friction brakes.
