Tiered Pricing Summer 2009: YMCA Camp Roger realizes that families have differing abilities to pay and has introduced a voluntary tiered pricing program to enable all families the opportunity for a quality camp experience for their children. This program is voluntary, requires no paperwork, and in no way influences the experience your child receives. Simply choose the rate that is appropriate for your family.
Scholarship Fund: In 2008 over 90 campers receivedassistance to attend YMCA Camp Roger. Please considermaking a contribution to help send another camper this summer.
Tier A is based on the full cost of a child participating in camp programs. This rate reflects the actual cost of at-tending one week of camp.
Tier B is a partially subsi-dized rate to help families that cannot afford the full cost of the camp program.
Tier C is a heavily subsidized rate for families who need further assistance. This rate is made possible by con-tributed income and does not reflect the true cost of a camper attending camp.
Tier D is a variable rate, made possible by donations to the YMCA for families who have need for finan-cial assistance. To apply, please visit our website www.ymcasaltlake.org or contact the office at (801) 466-6299.

The True Cost of Camp and our Tiered Pricing structure
Here’s what it’s all about:
You know your family’s financial situation better than we do. As you consider your family’s financial situation, please also
consider the true cost of camp.
On each camp’s description page (and in the printed catalog) you will find three different camp prices. You get to choose
the one that best fits your family’s ability to pay.
Rate A: The lowest price is a subsidized rate (for most events this rate is not available after May 5th).
Rate B: The middle price is the amount we spend during the week of camp for your camper to participate. These costs
include the food the people cooking the food and keeping the camp ready for campers, the program supplies, and the
training, food and lodging for the volunteer leaders.
Rate C: The third price is closest to the true price of an individual’s participation at camp. This includes things like
insurance, utilities, replacement of equipment, and facility upgrades.
Please carefully consider the amount that your family can afford. If the middle price seems comfortable to you, choose it. If
you think you can help with some of the bigger expenses of the camps, please choose the higher price. And remember,
our practice is that no one is turned away for a lack of funds. If paying for camp is a significant challenge for your family,
please contact the pastor of your local United Methodist or Episcopal Church or the Camping Office. We want to welcome
everyone one to camp because we believe the experience of Christian community and the life-long relationship that you
build with Jesus are priceless.

YMCA Camp Ravencliff Fee & Payment Information for Parents – you do not need to return this page to the YMCA.
Three-Tiered Pricing – 2009: YMCA Camp Ravencliff offers a tiered pricing structure to enable families with financial challenges the same quality camp experience for their children as families without the need for support. No paperwork or verification is required, simply select the rate appropriate for you. This information is completely confidential. Also, as part of our commitment when we acquired Camp Ravencliff from the Eureka YMCA, we offer an additional subsidy for Humboldt County residents. Families who need additional support beyond the tiered pricing are welcome to fill out a campership form. Upon review, you may qualify for up to a 50% campership off the Tier 1 price.
!"#$%& is based on the full cost of campers participating in the selected programs. This rate reflects the actual cost of sending a camper to the program.
If you are able to pay this amount, please do so. Thank you.
!"#$%' is a partially-subsidized rate that will help families who can’t afford the full cost of the camp program.
Choose this rate if your family has
the need to receive a subsidized rate.
!"#$%( is more heavily subsidized rate for families who need further assistance to send children to camp.
Choose this rate if your family has the need.
If you need additional assistance beyond this
rate, please complete a campership application.
Deposits & Payment Schedule All that is required to reserve your child’s space is a $75 deposit per session, per child, and a current YMCA membership (membership not required for Humboldt County residents). This fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable so please choose carefully. The balance of fees are due 2 weeks prior to the start of the camp session. If we do not receive your balance due payment by 2 weeks prior to the start of the session your spot may be forfeited. Fees beyond the deposit are refundable up to 30 days prior to the start of the camp session, or due to injury/illness verified by a doctor. PLEASE NOTE: The Health History form is also required at time of registration. This form can be downloaded at www.campravencliff.org.

CHOOSE THE PRICE TIER YOU CAN BEST AFFORDWe understand that different families have differing abilities to pay, so we use three pricing levels to better accommodate all financial needs. Please consider selecting thehighest tier you can afford to allow YMCA Camp Matawa to best stretch our funding and continue to improve the quality of each camper's experience.• Price C is our historically subsidized rate, which does not represent the true cost of camp, but has been our standard rate. • Price B is a partially subsidized rate, but more closely reflects the actual cost of camp.• Price A most accurately reflects the actual cost of Camp Matawa. Our Tiered Pricing Program in no way influences the experience your children will receive! We simply feel it is important to share with parents the true costs of Camp Matawa and give families the opportunity to decide how much they can contribute toward their child's camp experience.

Why Three Price Options?Girl Scouts of Limberlost Council subsidizessummer camp fees and facility expenses all yearround. For example, did you know that in 2007:
• Camp Logan summer camp direct expenseswere subsidized by approximately 21%.
• McMillen Day Camp summer campdirect expenses were subsidized byapproximately 31%.
• Limberlost Council invested more than$276,000 to support the outdoor camps andfacilities for year-round use through otherrelated expenses:
o Property expenses, includingproperty insurance, utilities, septictank pumping, mosquito fogging, and fire and safety inspections.
o Facility expenses include buildingand grounds upkeep, such asmowing the lawn, maintaining andfixing buildings/tents and sitemanagement.
o Supply expenses for all the thingsneed to operate, everything fromgarbage bags to toilet paper andpaper towels, and so much more.
To ensure that every girl who wants to can attendSummer Camp-A-Lot 2008, basic camp fees willremain the same as they were in 2007. However, realizing that families have different abilities topay, we’ve implemented a voluntary 3-tier pricingprogram for Summer Camp 2008. This is strictlyan “honor” system.
See page 2 for moredetails about three-tiered pricingand additional support, including
the Early Bird Discount,Camperships, Sister Special and
financial aid opportunities.
CAMP U-NAH-LI-YA TIERED PRICING PROGRAMWe understand that our camp families have differing abilities to pay, so we use three pricing levels to better accommodate all financial needs. Please consider selecting the highest tier that your family can afford to allow YMCA Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya to utilize this funding to ensure the quality of each camper’s experience.

We know that you appreciate the value of the camp experience since you have seen your own child learn greater responsibility, develop skills and gain self-confidence here at Camp. We also know that in these turbulent economic times, moms and dads want their children to go to camp, to get “unplugged” and just have fun, but they are also telling us that they are hesitant to make the commitment because of our uncertain economy. Recognizing that families have different financial abilities during these extraordinary times, Camp Tockwogh has created a new 3-Tier Pricing Program to help families manage the cost of camp. This is a unique opportunity since families decide which rate they are able to pay, the program is voluntary and based on the honor system. Those whose circumstances make it possible for them to pay the full cost will help make the camp experience available to other children whose families are being hit the hardest. Please take a moment to review the rate descriptions below to determine which is most appropriate for your family. Tier 1: is the actual cost of a child’s experience at camp Tier 2: is partially subsidized for temporary or minor financial need Tier 3: is offered for those in need of more financial assistance.
These 2-Week Camp Session Fees reflect the same discounts applied to other programs. Tier 1: $1,499 = 100% of the normal cost of camp Tier 2: $1,349 = 10% reduction – a savings of $150 Tier 3: $1,199 = 20% reduction – a savings of $300
All Tier pricing information is available on our website, so you can register online. Hopefully, one of these Tiers works for you, but if not, remember that we always offer financial assistance; this year Camp Tockwogh’s Board of Governors has committed itself to providing twice the amount of financial assistance it provided last year. You can also download our financial assistance application by clicking here. Please contact Kim Hall for more information at (800) 331-2267 or email [email protected]. We understand that it is the nature of some folks to be reluctant to ask for assistance; please remember that Camp Tockwogh is, first and foremost, a charitable organization that is committed to providing opportunities for the growth and development of children. We hope that these options will make it possible for your child to continue to enjoy the Tockwogh tradition that extends far beyond the camp season.

What Is Tier Pricing?
Dear Reader,!
! In difficult financial times and realizing that families have differing abilities to
pay, we have instituted a 3-tier pricing program. After completing a cost analysis we
have come to the realization that we have been subsidizing the cost of camp for every
person that attends. Rather than raising the cost of camp for everyone attending, we
are creating a tier pricing structure that will make it possible for everyone to still
attend.
! Below is a description of each tier. Please read each one and when registering,
pick the tier that you feel best fits your families needs. This is strictly an honor system
and in no way reflects the type of program your child will receive. If you have any
questions regarding the tier pricing structure please contact me and i would be happy to
discuss the program with you.
! Again, i want to emphasize that the tier you select will in no way change the camp
program your child will receive. We are now just giving each family the option to
choose the pricing that best fits them. As always, camp believes that no child shall be
turned away due to an inability to pay. Therefore, financial assistance is available if
needed. Please contact the camp office for more information. Thank you and I look
forward to seeing you at camp.

Tier ABased on the actual cost of camp for a child to participate. Includes expenses for
staff, maintenance, food, program development, supplies and wear and tear/
depreciation of facilities.
Tier BThis is our partially subsidized rate for those who can afford a little more but
are still unable to afford the actual cost of camp. Subsidy comes from the
Partner with Youth Campaign.
Tier CThis is our standard subsidized fee. For most programs, this is a small increase
over the previous summer fees. It is subsidized through the Partner with Youth
Campaign and community grants.
