LemonPerhaps the most famous ad of all time, this Voltswagon print advert was copywriting at it’s most genius. Attention-catching, backed up with a paragraph that sells.

The MoneyA classic from Ogilvy, this wonderful bit of text reminds people of the otherwise forgettable utility of matches.

The BeerAn infamous reminder of cultural sexism, it is witty copywriting nevertheless. Certainly memorable.

Duck’s BackA great tagline matched with hilarious, memorable imagery – all tied into the reason people would buy the product. Classic.

TomorrowA series of adverts aiming to modernise Rolex, these print ads did an excellent job of implying that a watch opened up possibility & lifestyle.

BONUS – Daft PunkAs a tribute to the exciting, powerful print ads of yesteryear, electronic music duo Daft Punk made vintage style print ads – in 2015.

Ironically, they got their widest distribution online. They were an excellent balance between vintage and futurism that their Grammy-winning album of the same year aimed to explore.
