Defined:Standing seam roof panel that has enough structural integrity to span over open framing and support all design loads. Typically referred to as water tight roofing panels.

Defined:Standing seam roof panel that has to be installed over a solid sheeted roof deck to support all design loads. Typically referred to as water shedding roofing panels.
