SRTD is a 3 year, € 4.000.000 EU funded project

The Higher Council for Science and Technology and Jordan Enterprise are co-founding some of the activities implemented by the project.

SRTD aim: To develop Jordan’s scientific and technological capacity with a focus on the use of RTD results by the industrial and SME sector and accelerate the integration of Jordan into the European Research Area and the Community Framework Programme.

Intellectual Property Commercialization Office (IPCO)

• Responsible for:– TT policy development– Identifying TTBOs and agreeing their participation– Signing MOUs with TTBO hosts (initially also with SRTD)– Hiring TTBO staff in conjunction with host– Organisation of funding for commercialisation process– Managing common commercialisation support activities

• Reports to Steering Committee:– For policy approval– On TT progress

TTBO Host Commitment

The officer of the TTBO will effectively communicate with researchers/business-people in order to have number of disclosures/ industrial-needs and send them to the IPCO

Raise awareness on the importance of IP protection as an asset and the different methodologies among their institutions

The business oriented officer will inform her/his access to industry about available technologies ready for commercialization from IPCO database

The research oriented officer will inform his/her access to researchers about available industrial needs from IPCO database
