A core value & key to our success


So what are families all about?


Families share a common bond


Families should love and care about each other when no one else does


Families have an uncommon

commitment, loyalty & sacrifice for one another


That’s what I wanted


A small group supremely

committed to GO FAR TOGETHER


To do that, we needed a radical bond &

commitment


Fostering values of a family

in our team


BUT ... this breaks the rules

of entrepreneurship


You’re not supposed to care that much


You’re supposed to keep it all separate


And employees are supposed to justdo their jobs &

give their best anyway


But if you do business as usual, you’ll get the same mediocre results


We, entrepreneurs, need to learn ...


EMPATHY


CARING


Aren’t warm & fuzzy words;

it’s a more human way of business


Do it right and you’ll love the

outcomes & cherish the experiences


But it ain’t easy & it gets messy

sometimes


Again, not a fad tactic;it’s a lasting core value


We have to continually work & act on it


However, neglect it at your own cost


Here’s how we approach business like

Everybody wants to belong


But not everybody is a fit


Find ways to show we’re an exclusive

group they belong to


i.e. The pirate flag, shirts, hangouts,

traveling together

CONTRIBUTE to


Everybody contributes, no castaways


Contribution is required, valued &

celebrated


Always, always give credit where credit is deserved


When you contribute, you give something of

yourself to others


i.e. The About Page & Ringing the Bell


3.We are a Family COMMITTED to

each other


All for oneOne for all


No rockstarsNo divas


Whatever it takes,but we go together


Committed means caring


i.e. Our team brought us meals

when baby was born


Also, making sure the right people are on the boat


4.We are a Family who ENJOYS each other


Which means spending time together

‘off the clock’


And that typically means eating & drinking


i.e. Monday lunches, monthly hangouts

& bringing remote team to OKC


Oh, and games


5.We are a Family on a JOURNEY together


We share a common purpose, goal, vision


The journey gives us stories to share


Each person contributes to the journey uniquely
