Supports DIN-size paper format

The TCS400 can print close to the edge,so that direct printing of DIN (or ANSI) formats is possible. This avoids the time-consuming trimming of media after printing. Océ supports this unique feature with DIN-size media rolls. Océ Premium, Standard and Draft Paper are now available in 110 or 120 m rolls of 594 mm, 841mm and 914 mm width.

Automatic roll switching

The TCS400 features advanced media handling, providing best-in-class productivity plus performance. The automatic roll switching functionality enables a roll to be switched in a matter of seconds rather than minutes, without lengthy media checking and alignment procedures.

The Océ TCS400 media compatibility list summarises the most

appropriate print mode settings for each available media type in

combination with the intended application.Although print & quality

modes can be freely chosen, depending of desired print quality level, it is

advisable to use listed print modes. Please note that in quality mode:

Check;

banding will occur and should only be used for checking the print

Release;

there is a possibility on banding and this quality mode should be seen as a trade off between quality and speed.

Presentation;

is banding free.

Alternative display media setting

For some media types we recommend an alternative display media setting, especially when using color modes. This alternative media setting will give better neutral grey areas

Alternative printmodes For some combinations an alternative printmode is given (in blue). Use these print modes to optimise print quality (for CAD Lines) or to reduce printing time (all others) with a minimum loss of print quality.

IJM005 Océ Draft Paper

Océ Draft Paper is the most commonly used paper for draft prints and check prints. It is a low-cost standard paper that gives good results with line work as well as for drawings with simple fills, both monochrome and in colour.

This paper is the most commonly used paper for use as working drawings and high quality draft prints. Providing an economic alternative to Océ Premium Paper, this standard paper has the extra durability needed for working drawings.

Océ Coated Papers are for prints with relatively heavy ink loads, for

example when printing presentation drawings and maps. The papers that

have been selected in the Océ laboratories provide fine colour contrast

for an excellent image quality.

IJM102 Océ Standard Coated Paper,

90 g/m2 Océ Standard Coated paper is a lightly coated paper that gives good results for prints involving higher colour densities, and for other applications where a prestige appearance is demanded. The smooth surface finish gives superior colour reproduction and excellent line sharpness.

Océ specially coated polyester films have outstanding dimensional

stability, a short drying time and high image density. They allow sharp

line reproduction and high colour densities, making them ideal for use as

copy masters.

IJM300 Océ Single Matt Film, 120 µm

Océ Single Matt Film, 120 µm is the medium of choice for archiving and high-quality Diazo reproduction. It offers outstanding dimensional stability, a short drying time and high image density. Recommended for both line drawings and colour work with solid fills.

IJM310 Océ Double Matt Film, 95 µm

Océ Double Matt Film, 95 µm, has an inkjet coating on the front side and a drawing layer on the reverse side. This allows corrections to be made on the film. The film also has very good dimensional stability, and is the most commonly used film.

Océ Double Matt Erasable Film, 120 µm is a top-of-the-line polyester medium, with a drafting layer under the inkjet coating to allow correction of the erased image. Corrections can also be made on the reverse side of the film; an electric eraser may be used to correct printed lines.

IJM345 Océ White Glossy Film,

120µm

Océ White Glossy Film, 120 µm is a white polyester film for graphic arts applications. The glossy surface makes this film particularly suitable for posters and point of purchase displays.

Note:

Long-term archiving of colour inkjet prints on

film is not recommended, as the dye-based

colour inks used in most colour printers may

fade over time.
