Sa trincha Charity Relief FundTHETHOUGHT

There are over 1.5 million well-meaning organizations to fund so why add a new one?

The Sa trincha Charity Relief Fund was established with the objective to help provide funding to existing projects that focus on providing basic education and basic needs (such as fresh water) in areas where these elements are close to non-existing and/or under development for children.

The Sa trincha Charity Relief Fund is based on the Seven Principles of Public Life also known as the Nolan Principles. These are: 1. Selflessness, 2. Integrity, 3. Objectivity, 4. Accountability, 5. Openness, 6. Honesty and 7. Leadership.

The Sa trincha Charity Relief Fund will specifically focus on creating education opportunities for girls from the age of 6 to 16. Therefore we are committed to organise charity fundraising events throughout Europe and to donate its proceedings to organisations that offer 100 percent transparency on their aid services and that can provide a clear plan on targets and progress. Often charity events are limited to exclusive surroundings and therefore not targeting a wide audience. The Sa trincha Charity Relief Fund wants to distinguish itself from other fundraising events by focusing on a cross target audience and by providing common interest elements for these events. These elements are qualified as; art, ballet, luxury goods, food & beverage and musical entertainment as also experience marketing. In doing so we will work closely with corporate bodies and with the retail sector.

Sa trincha Charity Relief FundTHECAUSES

After careful consideration we have chosen to support two organisations which, in our opinion, provide tangible support to children in need and also complies with the Nolan principles. When choosing the first organisation, it was our requirement that they had to comply with our need for providing basic education to girls in the ages of 6-16 in deprived areas. The second organisation had to comply with our requirements to provide fresh water resources to these same areas so that the children did not have to miss out on education by having to provide for the need of water.

The first charity we support through our fund is: RoomtoRead®. This organisation has been rated with 4 stars by the Charity Navigator (http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=10217). On the following pages we will provide more details related to RoomtoRead®

The second charity we support through our fund is: JoinThePipe.orgOn the following pages we will provide more details related to Join the pipe

Both organisations will focus on projects in the same locations thus providing maximum aid opportunities.

“When you educate a girl, you educate a family.

When you educate a family, you educate a nation.”

The Sa trincha Charity Relief Fund has chosen to support the Girls Scholarship Program as its main cause (http://www.roomtoread.org).

Some facts! There are over 115 million children currently not enrolled in primary school and many millions more not in secondary school There are an estimated 76.8 million primary school aged children (ages 6 to 11) who are out of school. 43.8 million of then are girls 30% of rural children in developing countries are not enrolled in school Women who participate in literacy programmes have better knowledge of health and family planning, and are more likely to adopt preventive health measures The human benefits of literacy are deeply tied to an individual’s self-esteem, confidence and personal empowerment * source: United Nations Educational & UNESCO

The RoomtoRead® Room to Grow Girls Scholarship Approach:

The Room to Grow Girls' Scholarship Program has an immediate and direct impact on the lives of thousands of girls in the developing world. An education provides security and support to girls who often grow up in very uncertain environments and empowers them to make informed life decisions. A solid education beginning in the early years is the key ingredient for improved status for women, which provides a ripple of positive effects throughout society.

Some more facts! For every year a girl remains in secondary school, her wages increase 10-20% An educated woman has fewer children, so population growth is slowed in resource-scarce countries Infant mortality decreases by 8% for each year a woman stays in school Family health and nutrition rise in the home of an educated woman An educated woman is more likely to educate the next generation

Sa trincha Charity Relief Fund Goals for 2009 – 2011 with RoomtoRead®

Our goal is to organise two charity fundraising events per year per country. We are started off in Amsterdam in 2009 and our long-term goal is to gradually move on to the following European cities; Düsseldorf, Geneva, London, Madrid and Paris.

Our Goal from 2009 onwards:The goal for 2009 - 2011 is to organise two charity fundraising events were we would like to raise funds through ticket sales and financial donations towards all our charities. For the of RoomtoRead® programmes we would like to support the following programmes :

Four Room to Grow Girls' Scholarship programmes at $ 2.500,00 each for 10 YEARS of a Girls Scholarship. This Scholarship makes it possible for a girl to have access to an education through to the secondary level and includes school fees, all books etc, transport, uniforms, a mentor and lots more! One Reading Room programme at $ 4.000,00. The libraries we build typically contain around 1,000 books – these are both local language books and English books. Around 300 – 400 children use each library The libraries contain age-appropriate materials, so can be used in conjunction with grade-based lessons. Two School Room programme at $ 35.000,00. Each school has from three to ten rooms and provides a new or improved learning environment for students.

Our event will provide an insight on the charity goals we want to support and also to provide entertainment to guests/donators. To achieve this goal we are combining art and entertainment at our events. In today’s age we cannot ignore the power of social media. All marketing will be strategically placed to target our audience via media channels. This will include channels such as online media, online social networking channels and press releases. And next to that also via Word of Mouth and Direct Marketing.

Donation methods:

Given the fact that we are collecting donations on a global level we have created a donation button through PayPal on our charity page. By using PayPal you will be able to make donations from the comfort of your home or office. Setting up a PayPal account is easy to complete and it is free to sign up. You can also transfer funds from your bank account to your PayPal account at no charge. Premier and Business accounts, as well as Personal accounts that accept credit card payments, are charged a small fee to receive payments. For large corporations we will issue our bank details through our donation request form. You can find this donation button on www.educationforgirlsnow.org Our PayPal ID = [email protected]

Sa trincha Charity Relief Fund COSTSTRUCTURE

We at the Sa trincha Charity Relief Fund are adamant about keeping the costs low and want to ensure that from every donated amount the greatest possible percentage is spend on the chosen charity programmes. Nevertheless setting up a charity relief fund is a not cost free effort that can be initiated with out making actual costs.

From the initial start the Sa trincha Charity Relief Fund has been founded PRIVATELY by our founder Mr. Suresh Girdhari. This funding relates to dedicated time over the period of eight months, investment in research, investment in the organisation’s structure, travels and investment in the IT structure. Based on own research we have seen obscene amounts being spent to maintain the continuance of a charity organisations and/or a relief fund. To avoid this we have decided to cap our expenses to a maximum of 25% per event to cover basic costs such as rent, utility charges, small office supplies, sponsorship meetings and highly necessary travels. With regards to our fundraising events we aim to have them 100% covered by sponsorship funding.

Revenue and Expenses are qualified as follows:

- Primary Revenue: The revenue a charity generates as a result of the work it does. A charity's primary revenue includes grants and contributions, revenue produced from programmes and services, and membership fees and dues.

- Secondary Revenue: In addition to primary revenue sources, charities derive their revenue from investments, special events, sales of inventory, and other unrelated business income.

- Program Expenses:This measure reflects what percent of its total budget a charity spends on the programs and services it exists to deliver. Dividing a charity's program expenses by its total functional expenses yields this percentage.

- Administrative Expenses: This measure reflects what percent of its total budget a charity spends on overhead, administrative staff and associated costs, and organizational meetings. Dividing a charity's administrative expenses by its total functional expenses yields this percentage.

- Fundraising Expenses: This measure reflects what a charity spends to raise money. Fundraising expenses can include campaign printing, publicity, mailing, staffing and costs incurred in soliciting donations, memberships, and grants. Dividing a charity's fundraising expenses by its total functional expenses yields this percentage.

Sponsorship is about connections ... it's about association ... it's more than your brand awareness ... it's about the impact your brand has on the consumer. Sponsorship delivers the experience of your brand to the consumer and is always long lasting especially when linked to a charity event. Help us build hope!

Sa trincha Charity Relief Fund SPONSORSHIPREQUIRMENTS

Realising a charity event is not a cost free effort that can be initiated without making actual costs. As organisation we have invested in this project by dedicating time and personal funds but unfortunately this is not enough to cover this event. To ensure that we can make our event successful, we are looking for sponsorship on several levels. Besides facility sponsors we are also looking for FINANCIAL DONATIONS to cover costs related to the actual organisation as also donators, to adopt one of the three charity rooms we are setting up for our event.

Below you will find an overview of the costs we still need to cover:
