We are a fully licensed and insured pest control service, locally owned and

operated with over 25 years of experience.

We are members of the National Pest Management Association, Virginia Pest Management Association, Central Virginia Pest Management Association and the Better

Business Bureau of Central Virginia. These associations maintain industry standards, keep us up to date on the latest materials, and hold regular training seminars.

We bring references with us, and you can review them at your leisure as we

inspect your home.

We do a complete inspection, including a termite and moisture evaluation of the entire crawlspace. Treatment recommendations are based upon your individual needs, not a standard package. Our inspections and written recommendations are absolutely free.

We send technicians to inspect your home, not high-pressure salespeople. After a careful evaluation, you will be given a written report of the findings and recommendations. You will not be asked to sign a contract until the service is to be

performed. Of course, we will be more than glad to answer any questions by phone or in person, but will not make uninvited calls or visits.

SERVICES/WARRANTIES

Turner & Sheek Pest Control offers a variety of services for your home or business. Extensive training in the identification and biology of home invading pests

allows us to use pesticides in a more judicious AND more effective manner.

INSPECTIONS AND EVALUATIONS ARE FREE. We do a complete inspection, including a termite and moisture evaluation of the entire crawlspace. You will be given a

written report of our findings and recommendations. We will answer any and all questions you may have, and then we go away. You may call us with more questions or to have the service performed. You will not need to sign a contract until the service is to be done.

Contracts for regular service are binding on us, not you. You can stop regularly scheduled service at any time without penalty.

ONE TIME SERVICES HAVE A 45 DAY GUARANTEE. This is often all that is needed.

A pest infestation may appear after bringing in, say, a bag of bird seed or an antique rug. A regularly scheduled service would not be necessary in such a case.

QUARTERLY SERVICES COME WITH A YEAR-ROUND GUARANTEE FOR

LISTED PESTS. Almost all household pests come from outside. Our quarterly treatments

are done on your exterior. Your crawlspace will be checked each spring for termites, and will be treated for general pests on an “as needed” basis (excess moisture added to your

crawlspace is never good).

The guarantee covers the inside of your house 365 days of the year for listed pests. We use traps and baits as much as possible on the inside. Intensive training makes it possible to

reduce or eliminate the use of chemicals inside your home.

PEST IDENTIFICATION

Turner & Sheek Pest Control is more than glad to help you identify pests of concern to you, at no cost. In order to control a pest, you need to know what it is,

where it came from and why it is there. This is especially important for small flies, gnats, “flying ants”, roaches and pests coming from your pantry. Keep in mind that a treatment for one species of roach will have no affect at all on another roach species. It is important to note

that, in the flying stages, ants and termites are very similar to the untrained eye.

SAVE AT LEAST A FEW SPECIMINES.

If they are hard-bodies insects, place them in a jar or zip-lock bag. If they are soft-bodied, place them in a jar with some rubbing alcohol. If you have no alcohol,

put them in a jar in the refrigerator. We will come to your home and identify them, and tell you where they most likely came from. They may be temporary and need no treatment, may

be something you can eliminate or you may want to have a treatment done. We are there as technicians, not salespeople.

Intergraded Pest Management.

INTERGRADED PEST MANAGEMENT relies on an overall approach to the control of pest problems. Training involves the study of the biology of various pests. Less pesticide is

needed once you know where they hide, where they breed, what foods they eat and how much water they need (along with lots of other details.)

Below is the list of the materials we use. They come in a variety of formulations, emulsified liquid, wetable powder, micro-encapsulated, granular, and dusts. Our use of various products

and formulations depends on the type of pest, the conditions and the time of year. Our use is targeted for maximum effect with minimum exposure. There will be changes in this list as
