However there is also a very loud and strong wind sound. This also gives us the idea that it is in a snowy place. Finally there is the sound of what sounds like ice cracking. The setting changes to what sounds like more of a house area as you can hear little wind and if you can hear it then it sounds far away. Also there are the sounds of futuristic doors opening and closing and there isn’t an echo on the people’s footsteps so we know that it is a small enclosed space. The ambient sound would’ve been made using field recording ad that way they will get an even more realistic wind sound than the ones that could be created by a MIDI sound board. However the sounds such as the cracking and the ice being crushed would’ve most likely been made using Foley artistry. Mood This cut sequence has a very tense mood and is creating a lot of suspense to lead up to something. The loud and intense music in the background also creates suspense as it continuously goes louder and quieter. The sound of the gunshot also adds to this suspense. The sounds of gunshots would probably been made using Foley artistry, or even field recording as they sound very realistic. Game genre Because of the sound and the suspense created during this cut sequence I believe that this game would either be a horror / survival game or an action game. The music would’ve more likely been made using an orchestra or musical instruments however it is very acoustic music so I doubt that it would be made using electrical instruments. Narrative All of the people in this cut sequence are shouting which gives us the impression that there is a non-human threat, also the people are discussing this threat later on in the cut sequence. I think that the dialogue would’ve been created using a recording studio as the dialogue is very clear and is very intense.
