Signs of Rat in a Home
If you think you have rats or mice in your home, it is important to act promptly to
control the level of infestation and reduce the health risks posed by this rodent.
If you are dealing with a small number of rats living in one area, the only signs you
will notice are small burrowing entrances from 2-4 inches in diameter.
If your pets are more excited than normal and constantly sniff a particular place in
the wall. Then it is sure that rat is living in your home.
The hungry rat gnaw the bottoms of wooden walls and doors, lead and plastic
pipes, etc thus if you see any unusual patterns of damage, it is an indication of rats in
your home.
Rats will leave mess behind as they are looking for food.
In addition to leaving gnaw marks on items around a home; rats will also leave
behind messes.
You will find rat dropping in drawers, around food packages and in hidden areas.
