• In 2011, the government of Guadalajara under Aristoteles Sandoval, begin the Project to compete for a federal program called “Digital Creative City”.

• The committee Project is co-presented by the City of Guadalajara, Jalisco Government, and CANIETI (National Chamber of Electronic Industry, Telecommunications and Information Technology).

• In January 30th 2012 the President of the Republic gave the announcement that Guadalajara will be the city to develop the first Digital Creative City of the Country.

• For the 2013 Fiscal year the Jalisco State Congress approves MXN100 million to start the project.

• In March 30th 2013 the Governor of the Sate issued an agreement with the rules to apply the economic resource.

THE CREATIVE ECONOMY• According to IDB (Orange Economy,

2013) the Mexican Creative economy contributed in Mexico from 2007 to 2012 an average of 11% in employment and 4.8% of GDP.
