The Self-Image Mirror
By: Rheanna D, Emily R, Nancy R, Emily G, and Anna E.
Problem
Low Self-Esteem is an issue that many people, both youth and adults, struggle with, some for their entire life. It can result in depression, suppressed anger, social isolation, and constant feelings of shame or embarrassment. For many people, their Self-Esteem is connected with their physical appearance. Right or wrong, the way we look can strongly impact our emotional health, which in turn impacts both our physical and mental well being.
Our Solution
Because it is impossible to travel the world and tell everyone that they are beautiful, we decided to create a product that could do it for us. The time that many of us feel the most discouraged about our appearance is when we look in the mirror. So, what if instead of only providing our
reflection, our mirror could let us know that we’re looking good, that our hair is impeccable and our outfit stunning? The Self-Image Mirror will provide this service.

Target Audience
The Self-Image Mirror is targeted at anyone who struggles with feeling unattractive or having a positive body image. Because society places greater
emphasis on women looking attractive than on men, women would make up a greater part of this area than men. Also, women ages 16+ are more likely to struggle with negative self-worth, and thus would benefit more from the Self-Image Mirror.
