In 2011 the Conference gathered 250 participants from 31 countries for three days of results-oriented discussions and debates on topics like waste management, waste-to-energy and recycling. The 2012 edition will continue to tackle the financial, regulatory, policy and technological roadblocks to waste management implementation across the SEE Region. It will show the huge business potential of the market and will encourage the know-how transfer. The Conference will serve as a forum for the international environmental community to meet and collaborate with South-East European policy-holders, senior utility executives and private sector leaders. Leading companies will present at the Exhibition cutting edge technologies and services. Austria, one of the international leaders in environmental technology, will be a focus country. ‘Save the Planet’ is organized in collaboration with key partner organizations – regional and international – including Association of Cities and Regions for Recycling and Sustainable Resource Management, European Biomass Association, European Network of Environmental Professionals, European Suppliers of Waste-to-Energy Technology, Confederation of European Waste-to-Energy Plants, German Society for sustainable Biogas and Bioenergy Utilisation, enviMV - Network for Environmental Technologies from Mecklenburg- Western Pomerania, German Association of Waste-to-Energy and RDF plants, Union of Black Sea and Caspian Confederation of Enterprises, Bulgarian Association of Recycling, Confederation of the Associations of Ecological Energy, Bulgarian-Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria, Bulgarian Construction Chamber, Bulgarian Association of Municipal Environmental Experts, etc. Conference & Exhibition
