What is bad or good about our situation?• Two operating systems
• Two programs to install and support on multiple devices (desktops, laptops, Blackberry)
• Email & calendar is the last application in the enterprise to be “Webified”.
• Any browser for any operating system will access email & calendar from any device.
• Mature options now exist for enterprise, which will lead us into the late teens of this decade.
• Increased network bandwidth (Internet 2009 – 2014) to accommodate evolving services for students, faculty & staff
Current - Bad Future - Good

WHY?
Current email & calendaring solution has aged and does not meet the growing communication needs of the Roseville City Elementary School District.
Replacing Exchange 2003 with Exchange 2010 is cost prohibited in today’s economic & regulation climate
Browser based electronic mail and calendar systems are mature and standardized.
