Evil is more deeply rooted and more all-encompassing than we ever imagined. The forces of evil work in tandem. The enormous red dragon makes war against God’s people and empowers the seven headed monster that rises up from the sea. The beast of the earth has the power and skill to deceive, intimidate, and manipulate human kind into submission. All those who receive the mark of the beast and pay homage to the image of the beast are set apart from the last generation of believers, who are signed, sealed and delivered by the blood of the Lamb. With these three figures - the dragon, the beast of the sea, and the beast of the earth – John portrayed the power of evil.

This is not a message about what might happen in the future. It is a message about what is happening, has always happened, and will continue to happen. Revelation depicts as a time of conflict, the age in which we live, the age all of Christ’s disciples have always lived in. It is the time of the dragon’s fury and the era of the beast’s rule.
