Widget Optimizer
What is Revcontent Widget Optimizer?
The Revcontent Widget Optimizer allows you to Blacklist your campaign from running on a widget (or set of widgets) or Only Target a widget (or set of widgets).
This feature gives advertisers Campaign Boost optimization control down to the most granular level.
In order to include or exclude your campaign from running on a specific widget, you must be targeting the channel the widget lives in. We suggest targeting All Targets during campaign set up to utilize the Widget Optimizer feature.
Click on the gear icon to fill out your Tracking Variables and Enable Widget ID Passback functionality.
When finished, click Build Tracking Code to create URLs for website tracking.
You can enter a suffix-style tracking code (like Google Analytics' UTM codes) and we'll append it to the end of all campaign URLs automatically.
Enabling Boost & Content ID Passback will allow you to see Boost and Content IDs in your third party reporting.
Enabling Advanced Targets Passback will allow you to see exactly which channels are delivering the page views in your third party reporting.
Enabling Widget ID Passback will allow you to see the specific Widget IDs your campaign is performing on through your third party reporting.
We recommend checking all of these boxes for the most transparent campaign data.
Under the Targeting tab of your campaign, select the Widget Optimization button in the upper right corner to include or exclude specific widgets.
Choose from the drop down menu to Target Only or Blacklist specific Widgets IDs displaying your campaign boost.
In order to Target or Blacklist a widget, your campaign must be targeting the channel the widget is running in.
We suggest you target all channels when building your Campaign Boost to fully utilize the Widget Optimizer
Blacklisting specific Widget IDs means you are targeting everything EXCEPT the Widget IDs you have selected to Blacklist in the Widget Optimizer.
Choosing Target Only for specific Widgets IDs means you are ONLY targeting the Widget IDs you have selected in the Widget Optimizer feature.
You can Target Only or Blacklist multiple Widget IDs at once using a comma separated list (no spaces) in the Widget Optimizer
