IPC- IPC stands for international Publishing Corporation. They are the result of the formation of 3

leading magazine publishers George Newes, Odhams Press and Fleetway Publications They produce over

60 media brands with their main focus being men, mass market women and upmarket women. They are

located in the United Kingdom but manage to sell over 350 million copies of magazines every year. Some

of the magazines they publish include NME a successful contemporary music magazine and NUTS young

men’s lifestyle magazine.

Bauer media- originally formed in Germany, Bauer media is a UK based media group

consisting of many companies surrounding mainly TV and radio but also publishing magazines.

They offer over 300 magazines in over 15 different countries. They publish many well known

magazines including Heat, Kerrang! , FHM, Zoo and many more. They engage over 19 million

consumers every week. Their offices are in such places as Germany, USA, Spain, France and

Austria just to name a few.
