Installation
The valve is flangeless and should be mounted between flanges according to ISO PN10 orANSI 125lb (6" and 8" only). Because of the rubber lining no flange gaskets are required.
Flow direction shall be with the throttling orifice on the outlet side of the valve as indicated insectional drawing above. Thereby the lowest flow velocity is achieved and changing of flow directions in the valve is avoided. Eventual wear will occur only on the outlet ring and ball sector which are easily replaced if necessary. It is recommended that wetted parts of downstream pipe near the valve are rubber lined.
To facilitate mounting of valve and pipes underneath a vessel, flanges may be mountedwith rods on the valve body. Valve type is then read KSGF.
The moving element of the valve is a sector of a ball with pivots journalled in thevalve body. On 90-degree rotation it alters the throttling orifice from fully open to tight shut-off

An outlet ring is integrating the rubber seat that seals off the ball sector.
The ball sector valve is not affected by dynamic forces in throttling position.
