Work is needed as tenant’s garden is being used as a ‘cut through’, Tenant is also severally disabled.

Metal gate to be erected to side of building next to 3 and 5 Hillview House to stop the public walking through the complex and damaging the meter cupboard doors to properties 3 and 5 Hillview
City Centre Police have found needles and all sorts of drug paraphinalia within the alley where people have walked through or stopped to take drugs etc. There have also been used condoms in the alley

Removal of the brick wall around the garages on the car park asstreet drinkers are gathering around the area on a daily basis drinking, shouting, swearing intimidating residents often using the wall and garages as something to hide behind.
77 letters to residents were sent. 42 responded – 38 in favour and 4 against.

Youths gather by the fence which is covered in ivy to smoke and take drugs.

Election of Local Housing Board Members
We have changed the way tenant representatives are nominated to the
Local Housing Boards
• Tenant representatives will no longer be nominated from Housing Focus Groups
• This year, any tenant living in the South West area (Austin, Littleover and Stockbrook Street) will be able to apply to become a Local Housing Board representative

• There are 3 places available and elections will be held during the Summer
• Further details will be published in the next edition of Derby Homes News and in in May all tenants in the South West will be sent details.
