Pyle & Associates was founded in 2001 by Elizabeth

Pyle in response to an emerging entrepreneurial community in

Charlottesville that has constantly faced growth challenges.

The University of Virginia has long been a talent magnet

for technology and life sciences, but the entrepreneurial spirit

of Charlottesville goes beyond.

Elizabeth Pyle began her career by applying her BA in geology (Cedar Crest College) to exploration and development in the petroleum industry. Later she received a MEd from the University of Houston and her MBA from Averett University. Her management “kitbag” is packed with broad and extensive practical experience gathered through her own years as an entrepreneur and as a consultant.

She founded Pyle & Associates, an Interim Executive Management firm providing management and business consulting services for clients in multiple industries at different stages of development. She has developed a deep understanding of the challenges faced by companies from start-up through commercialization and acquisition and turn-around situations. Recognized for her expertise in business development, strategic planning, marketing, operations and leadership, she has also developed broad connections throughout the business community.

While serving on the Board of Directors for the Charlottesville Venture Group, she chaired the Business Plan Review Committee and the Annual Business Forum at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. She has served on the Charlottesville Business Innovation Council and as a founding Director for the Business Growth Network. Not surprisingly, Ms. Pyle has been sought after as a speaker and mentor, thanks to her expertise, earth-bound practicality, and a style imbued with candor, positive energy, astute people skills, and a warm sense of humor. She has shared her pragmatic advice to business incubators and other entrepreneurial organizations across Virginia, including the Virginia Business Incubation Association, the College of William & Mary, the James Madison University and the University of Virginia.
