What

This is a field tested, lean system / toolkit to kick-start effective project deliveries, including:• Setting up an effective knowledge sharing framework• Drill down to the strategic / business value of projects • Map where & how your project fits into the bigger picture• A visual method to break down and estimate the work • Easily build a budget• Put everything together in a clear plan

Think of each of the pieces as a tiny little engines that, when all running together, create one killer machine. We’ll start with one engine and move through them one-by-one until we’ve created our machine!

Included:• “Fill in the blank" templates that can be used on your projects immediately• Reusable PPT template slides (this alone is worth it!)• Webinars where I’ll dive deeper on the methodologies / tools• Best practices / tips sprinkled throughout where I think you’ll value them the most

1. Collaborate or Die

Most high performing teams / organizations will cite collaboration & transparency as the primary driver of their success. Setting up a framework to do so should be your first order of business on any project.

I’ll show you a simple technique, and give you the template, to expose and optimize your workflow.

I'll detail out an example of a knowledge sharing / management framework.

I'll share important collaboration mindsets that you (and the team) need to succeed on this front.

organization's communication structure ~ Conway's Law

2. Think Big Picture

People do things/buy things, not for the thing itself, but for the benefit that doing/buying the thing brings them. What makes this challenging is that those reasons are not always obvious.

I’ll  show you how to get past “first order problem solving” and drill down to the strategic value of projects. You’ll have a repeatable method and template to drill down on your own projects.

You’ll end up with a model that can then drive creative, customer-centered, project development.

3. Map the Lay of the Land

It’s hard not to eye-roll when someone says: “know your customer." Right, but how? Enter process mapping. Get to know your customers better than they know themselves and help yourself along the way.

I’ll share a technique to effectively map your customer’s processes, and how your project fits in, from high level into actionable level of detail.

I’ll give you the keys – and template - to mapping success. You’ll end up with a “map” that can then drive project delivery…and opportunties not yet addressed.

4. Bricks & Mortar

It can be really daunting to estimate what & how many bricks you’ll need to build your own project. A collaborative approach would make this easier.

I’ll share a visual / collaborative technique for decomposing the work that needs to be done.

I’ll then show you a lean method for turning that work into the beginning of an estimate.

I’ll give you an example & templates to us in your own projects immediately.

5. Show Them the Money

If projects go over budget by just 10 percent on average, business take a hit of 19.5 percent on their profit margins. Underestimating the work or going the extra mile can get expensive.

I’ll show how to effectively turn the work that needs to be done into a lean / manageable budget.I’ll give you templates to use, and build on, in your own projects going forward.

I’ll share best practices on tracking & modeling against the estimate / budget.

6. Deliver the Baked Pizza

A good plan is like a road map: it shows the final destination and the best way to get there.

I’ll show you how to bring all the pieces together in a clear plan.

I’ll share templates that you can put to use in your projects immediately.

I’ll give you some techniques on sharing the plan with others and tracking against it.
