Several heads are better than one
Diversity makes the group communication
very complex
Task needs
The collective experience and intelligence
are stronger than the individual one
But those experiences and individual insight
are only useful to the group
if they are shared
For instance:Coordinating

Everyone likes to receive praise
We feel good when someone recognizes us
for our contributions
As a result, we can increase
the self-esteem of all group members
and raise hopes, confidence, and aspiration
of the group as a whole
It improves the morale
of any group member
and increases cohesiveness, satisfaction,
and productivity

Conflict is a normal, healthy part of
group interaction
However mismanaged
conflict can lead to a general disruption
within the group
Whenever conflict becomes
person-oriented rather than
issue-oriented, it is a particular appropriate time
for some mediation and the final solution
is to focus discussion on issues
rather than personalities
Groups can function effectively in spite of personality clashes

Summing up• Both, task and process leadership are essential to the success of
an ongoing small group.
• Therefore, if a comfortable environment is not maintained, the members tend to focus their attention and energy on their own dissatisfaction with the group rather than on their assigned task.
• Finally, for a group to be effective, a leader must be available to guide and control the group. However, leadership responsibilities can be assumed by anyone in the group if the group becomes disorganized.
