Portrait Shoot
By Megan Robinson
First I selected ‘Magnetic Lasso Tool’ to go around the guitar then I copied it and pasted it. On the same place where the guitar is.
I clicked on ‘Image’ then went to ‘Adjustments’, clicked on ‘Black & White’. On the right, it shows what comes up when I clicked ‘Black & White’ and I clicked Tint, and changed little of ‘Hue’ and ‘Saturation’ until I was happy with it.
This is what I did on the left when I turned this image into black and white by using tint.
First I clicked on the guitar because I only wanted to change on that so I clicked on ‘Image’ then chose ‘Adjustments’ and clicked on ‘Color Balance’.
Then I changed the colour on the guitar and stopped until I was happy with it.
This is what it looks like and I really like it, the guitar stands out more.
Then I right clicked on the right to ‘Flatten Image’ because I copied the guitar and pasted it so I wanted it to be all one image now. Now I have finished it and I am happy with what I have edited and on the next page, you can see more of what I changed.
This is original image and I wanted to make changes. To do that I clicked ‘Image’ and then went on ‘Adjustments’ and choose ‘Brightness/Contrast’. I changed the brightness to 26 then I changed the contrast to 49.
I went all around the girl by using ‘Magnetic Lasso Tool’. Then I copied and pasted it. On the first image, I decided to go on ‘Image’ then ‘Adjustments’ and clicked on ‘Color Balance’. I made some changes to make it more green and make it more like spring/summer. But I haven’t change the colour balance on the girl so that’s why I copied and pasted her. Then I cropped the image to use the rule of third.
I have finished it and put on the next slide.
This is original image and I wanted to make changes. To do that I clicked ‘Image’ and then went on ‘Adjustments’ and chose ‘Brightness/Contrast’. I changed the brightness to 21 then I changed the contrast to 50.
I went all around the girl and the guitar by using ‘Magnetic Lasso Tool’. I copied and pasted it. I went on the original image then I clicked ‘Image’ and ‘Adjustments’ then ‘Vibrance’ I changed vibrance to +24 then I changed saturation to +74.
I went on ‘Image’ and clicked on ‘Adjustments then ‘Color Balance’. I have been changing the colour and chose what I am happy with. I have finished now which shows on the next page.
This is original image and I wanted to change it. So to do this, the image is not very straight so I used ‘Rectangular Marquee Tool’. I went all around the image then I turned the image to make more straight. I want to crop this image because you can see the black bit so I cropped these sections out.
I want to change the brightness and contrast. First I clicked on ‘Image’ then ‘Adjustments’ and finally ‘Brightness/Contrast’. Changed the brightness to 6 and changed the contrast to 53.
I decided to crop it more, this time, I cropped the image to make it bigger and more focussed on the shed and the girls rather than outside the shed. Finally I decided to make the image black and white and clicked on ‘Tint’. I changed the ‘Hue’ and ‘Saturation’ until I liked the image. The final image is shown on the next page.
