Come to The Portland Arts & Culture Social Media Convening, which will bring together social media staff from the greater Portland area arts and culture community. This four-hour workshop will open a dialogue on social media as it relates to best practices, issues and concerns, growth opportunity and potential, strategy, ROI, and other key issues facing social media staff, and institutions. Part workshop, part tweetfest, part networking event...Join James Leventhal of the Contemporary Jewish Museum, Adam Rozan of the Oakland Museum of California, and Stephanie Weaver of Experienceology for this workshop, discussion, tweet-festival, and social media community-building exercise.Bring your laptop and be ready to tweet! Participants will receive a copy of The Networked Nonprofit by Beth Kanter and Allison Fine, plus refreshments. If you are working in social media for your cultural organization, are thinking of jumping in to social media, or cover the cultural scene in the Pacific Northwest, join us!
