Currently, they are executing plans to operate in the promising Central American market. SUPPORT FOR MULTINATIONAL STARTUP COMPANY IN BRAZIL. Pactum was hired by a European I.T. and Telecommunications company to open a company in Brazil. We took care of all aspects, due to operational factors and legal costs with taxes and labor relations, especially: identification of the best location to install the factory, identification and confection of tax benefits, obtainment of conveyance for lot in incentivized industrial area, support in process of importing machinery, civil construction and infrastructure work, support for selection and hiring of personnel, training, assistance in commercial negotiations and full-time monitoring until operations began. A member of Pactum was the company’s legal representative in Brazil until the client brought its own Director. ADVISING FOR M&A OPERATION. Foreign office furniture manufacturer hired Pactum to advise it on its decision to buy a company in Brazil, so as to rely on a brand, know-how and local sales and distribution channels. Pactum’s work helped the entrepreneurs overcome difficulties in Brazilian legislation involving tax, labor and shareholder affairs, as well as to identify and understand the company’s potential liabilities and contingencies, so as to minimize risks in the acquisition process. Also, the opening of a European holding company was arranged, transition of command at the local company and acquirement of a visa for the director coming from Europe.
