To train Bahraini women in basic computer applications. The BWU will provide training in basic computer skills to around 900 Bahraini women, in addition to training targeting around 5500 Bahraini female job seekers in the local labour market.

All trainees must be Bahraini nationals and over 18 years of age. The total cost of this initiative is BD136,700 (362,552.02 USD)

Tamkeen and the Bahrain Women Union signed a memorandum of understanding.

Tamkeen support women in Aviation

Tamkeen and Gulf Air encourage more Bahraini females to join the National Carrier

Tamkeen and Gulf Air signed an agreement, during the Bahrain International Air show, to encourage more Bahraini Nationals, especially

females, to join the national carrier in key customer-facing positions with a major focus on opportunities to become members of the airline’s cabin

crew. The programme targetted 150 positions.

KG wage subsidy scheme

Tamkeen has signed with Bahrain University to train 300 teachers to acquire a diploma with a total cost of

BD540,000 (1,432,173.32 USD). 5 groups totalling 100 trainees has finished the training.

The programme has succeeded in encouraging 50% of the applicants

to register in SIO to usualise the benefits.

1559 female beneficiaries in different kindergarten and received the monthly stipend for 2 consecutive

years. The total support reached BD 467,750 (1,240,553.84 USD)
