JIB CRANESThe most extensive line in North America

O’Brien offers one of North America’s largest ranges of jib cranes. A technical data book of standard jib crane solutions from up to 40,000 lbs. capacity is available on request. Specially engineered jib cranes are produced in capacities up to 80,000 lbs.

The two basic formats of jib cranes are free standing and wall mounted, each of which may be equipped with chain or wire rope hoists. We offer under- and over-braced jib arms to maximize lift or travel.

Free standing jib cranes can be constructed for maximum slewing angles of 360 degrees. We offer a variety of fixing solutions including anchor bolts and wall plates.

O’Brien MET-TRACK® Workstation Cranes enable you to achieve effortless and reliable area-serving overhead handling for a wide variety of applications. Each system is configured with the operator in mind and includes the principle feature of ease of movement, designed to reduce fatigue and ensure accurate load positioning.

Floor mounted systems are not a permanent part of your factory and therefore can easily be relocated in the future. The installation is often much simpler and does not apply stresses to the building roof structure.

Quality materials and construction ensure operational reliability and safety and facilitate long life combined with minimum maintenance.

All Workstation Crane products come with a 5 year, or 10,000 hour use warranty from date of the shipment for defects in material and workmanship.

GANTRY CRANESOptimizing your workspaces

Gantry cranes are an ideal solution for applications where lifting is needed without the cost of a building or supporting steelwork. For full and semi-gantry cranes, similar to an overhead crane (or bridge crane), the runway is located on the floor rather than the ceiling. Portable gantry cranes use polyurethane wheels and is completely mobile which is used for light lifting.

Gantry cranes can be placed indoors or outdoors and cost less than an overhead crane system.

For smaller safe working loads, one popular option is the rail-less semi-gantry crane when a floor rail would be an obstruction or too costly. In this case the crane runs on polyurethane wheels.
