Community Services

• Supported by Working Neighbourhoods Fund

• Between now and April, offer support to third

sector organisations as they look to develop

services for older people

“This will open doors for third sector bodies, both in providing services directly, and also playing a vital role in advocacy and brokerage. But this is a two-way street. Just as public sector organisations are being challenged to raise standards and cut costs, so charities and voluntary organisations will need to adapt. You will need to show your mettle. Demonstrate real success in improving outcomes and changing lives.”

Where are the opportunities?

• It’s bigger than the Personalisation Agenda!• Ageing has been identified as a ‘megatrend’

and is being used by some companies to develop new profitable products and services

• Use the group sessions to think as broadly as possible about what older people in Bradford want, where are there currently unmet needs?

Developing key themes

• Choose two opportunities which are of interest to your organisation (there may be more - but choose two for now)

• Join the group to talk more about this opportunity (need suggested discussion points here)

• 15 minutes - then we’ll move on to the next one
