NEW YORK CITY DESCRIPTIO

New York is the most populous city in the United States and the center of the New York Metropolitan Area, one of the most populous metropolitan areas in the world.

New York exerts a significant impact upon global commerce, finance, media, art, fashion, research, technology, education, and entertainment.

NEW YORK CITY MAPS

MANHATTAN:

The small Island in the middle of the hart of New York. The Island is approx 12 mile long and as widest 2.5 miles

BRONX:

The district exactly north of Manhattan, it is the only district that is not an Island

or part of an Island.

A lot of green areas. The area is inspired from the Caribbean as there are many people from Latin America living

here. This will show both in the food and the music. Here is also a lot of interest if you are fascinated in history . 

QUEENS:

The district east of Manhattan and Bronx. Here you will find two of the cities biggest airports JFK and LaGuardia. This area is a world of it´s own, with big mixture of nationalities

BROKLYN:

South east of Manhattan and at the other side of the East River. Also here you Manhattan and the skyscrapers. will have a mixture of all the different nationalitites of the world.

Take a walk over Brooklyn Bridge and you will get a great view over Manhattan and the skyscrapers.

STATEN ISLAND: South of Manhattan you will find this Island. You will get to Staten Island by the free ferry, Staten Island Ferry

DISTRICTS IN NYC

● Emblazoned on a dark blue field is the state coat of arms. The goddess Liberty holds a pole with a Liberty Cap on top. Liberty stands for freedom. At her feet is a discarded crown, representing freedom from England at the end of the revolutionary war. On the right is the goddess, Justice. She wears a blindfold and carries the scales of justice. Meaning that everyone receives equal treatment under the law. The state motto "Excelsior" on a white ribbon expresses the idea of reaching upward to higher goals. On the shield a sun rises over the Hudson highlands and ships sail the Hudson river. Above the shield is an eagle resting on a globe representing the Western Hemisphere.

The U.S. dollar bill is the lowest denomination bill the U.S. dollar . It has a portrait of first president , George Washington , on the front, back the U.S. shield. It is the oldest design of the dollar.

For us there is no doubt, Times Square is the best area to sleep in New York. Other areas are really attractive Central Park or the streets near the Empire State, although they are quieter and do not have that environment 24 hours a day. If you want to save, you have the option of staying outside of Manhattan in areas such as Brooklyn or Queens and move to the center by public transport. You should consider paying at least $120 per night in a double room.
