New Online Sales ModelExpanding product availability and selection by pooling chain inventory

Page 11: New online sales model

Current Fulfillment Model

Page 12: New online sales model

Problems Limits store growth Significantly restricts Jason’s time to

market and improve the website Creates unnecessary work & adds to

labor costs

New Fulfillment Model

Page 14: New online sales model

Advantages No housed inventory No staff payroll 25 times the product availability Opens up a site to store option Dispenses with Stone Edge costs We can use RBS and therefore redeem gift cards

online. No more Stone Edge amount posting errors. Jason can finally devote the needed attention to

improving design & function of the website, & web marketing

Page 15: New online sales model

How this would work The inventory for the entire chain of

stores would be imported as the online store’s quantity on hand

Page 16: New online sales model

How this would work Availability messages would be changed

so that a quantity of 10+ of a SKU would show as “In Stock”

Page 17: New online sales model

How this would work Items with a QTY of >10 would show as

“Ships in 7-10 days” and 0 would show as “Out of Stock” or be removed

Page 18: New online sales model

How this would work Orders would still be batched and charged

at a central location We would create a report that shows online

orders and which stores have the product to fill them by order (we used to do this)

Orders would then be assigned via email to a store that could fill and ship them

Ring orders, & large quantity orders would be drop-shipped from their respective vendors

Page 19: New online sales model

How this would work Once a store manager receives the

assignment to fill and ship an online order, they could log into their own restricted Miva profile

Page 20: New online sales model

How this would work The store manager would then find and

select the assigned order

Page 21: New online sales model

How this would work Then print, pull, and pack the order

Page 22: New online sales model

How this would work Then print a shipping label using Miva’s

integrated FedEx or Endicia interface

Miva communicates with FedEx/Endicia and prints labels directly from this interface Interface can also generate RMA’s, and ship items individually or as a whole order Tracking numbers & statuses are instantly updated making it easy for customers to

track their orders online

Page 23: New online sales model

How this would work Customers would receive automated email

notices for each step in the order fulfillment process

Page 24: New online sales model

How this would work Orders statuses could be tracked from any

Seagull location by anyone with access to the internet

However, customer calls and emails would be directed to the phone center (online and in the

catalog)

Page 25: New online sales model

How this would work At the end of the day, orders can be

exported into Pick
