The key to measuring Employee Happiness is to accurately record both scheduled AND unscheduled time off from work.

When you have an effective, automated way to manage Time Off requests from work you can then measure “Employee Happiness Levels”

There is a simple formula called the Bradford Factor which can measure how happy employees are based on Absence from work.

Happiness = S * S * D where S is the number of unplanned absences recorded for the employee during the past 52 weeks, and D is the total number of days of unplanned absence.

Low Score = Happy EmployeeHigh Score = Unhappy Employee
