LEMAY LAKE
Aerial photography was used during
the design process to ensure that all
features of the site were taken into
account.

Great care has been given to the preservation of the existing trees
thru out the site with special attention given to the slope along the
east side of Lemay Lake.
In this view from Lakeview Avenue looking to
the East towards the site, we have grayed out
the approx. area of tree crown loss.
When designing the grading for the site, the
proposed road was depressed into the terrain
thus creating a natural “berm” minimizing
tree loss and helping maintain the views to
the residents of the Furlong neighborhood.

With preliminary comments from staff and neighbors in hand, one of
our main goals was the preservation of the views to the east for the ex-
isting neighbors. With numerous reference photos in conjunction with
field measurements of the location and heights of the existing trees, we
are able to determine with reasonable accuracy the tree preservation
that will protect those views.
In this view from Lakeview Avenue
looking to the South East towards the
site, we have grayed out the approx.
area of tree crown loss. With our careful site
planning, homes will be located with minimal
visibility from across Lemay Lake.

During the design process, traditional methods such
as cross sections were used to verify that the existing
site lines for the furlong neighborhood were maintain
as much as possible.

In addition to the traditional methods such as cross sections , 3D modeling was
used for site lines and hydrology calculations to insure that Lemay Lake will not be
adversely impacted.

To ensure that the trees saved
during the site design and well
after construction, a conserva-
tion easement will be placed
over the hatched areas show
here.
