News in the KWD Webranking 2013 study
• 2013 protocol did not undergo significant changes compared with last year’s edition
• Social media criteria were optimized:
– LinkedIn and Wikipedia gained weight
– Social media were evaluated only if indicated on corporate websites
• The weight of some sections was modified according to the answers to
questionnaires
• New criteria were introduced:
– Anti-corruption initiatives
– Introduction about the company’s ethical stance
– Targets and data need to be presented in a clearer way
• More focus on mobile and responsive design

Key findings of the Swiss study
• Swiss average score: 38.1 points
– The average score is the same as last edition
– Only 1 company out of 2 improved its score
– Swiss average score is well below the European top 100 companies by market
capitalization (45.3 points)
• The average score of the 20 Swiss biggest companies gained Switzerland the
5th rank in Europe, behind Nordic countries and Italy
