Caverstock Group Kiaora Lands, Double Bay Shopping Centre - Retail/Commercial/Library/Supermarket Client: Fabcot Pty Ltd and Woollahra Council Contract Value: $50 million Contract Type: Design and Construct Contract Services: Development and Project Management Stages: First stage comprises demolition works, carpark for 460 cars, two loading docks, Thomas Dux grocer, Dan Murphy liquor store, Woolworths store 5,200m 2 , commercial offices and specialty retail, reconstruction of road, and flood relief. Second stage comprises demolition works, specialty retail and arcade, library, commercial offices, and open air plaza. Woollahra Council will be the owner of the project when completed. Council have targeted the equivalent of a 4 star green star rating for the development. Caverstock Group’s role is to assist Fabcot and Woollahra Council with development issues through the development process. Budgets, programming, negotiations with Council for the scope of services for the Transaction Documents Agreement, assisting with information for community meetings for the Local Environmental Plan and Development Control Plan and manage the consultants to achieve an outstanding Development Application. After Development Consent, Caverstock Group will manage the design development, compile the tender documents, manage the tender, and have the building contractor engaged under contract. From then, Caverstock Group will project manage the staged construction works over the 26 months programme to practical completion with the 12 month warranty period after the building is occupied. Completion is programmed for mid 2014.
