SGS Malaysia held a Client Info Day for more than 120 clients at the Penang Skills Development Centre, Penang, on April 8, 2014. The half-day event saw in-depth interaction with the company’s clients in Northern Peninsular Malaysia and the introduction of new services and updates on the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 revisions.

� Take account of changes in quality management systems practices and technology since its last major revision (2000) and to provide a stable core set of requirements for the next 10 years or more

� Decrease the emphasis on Documentation

� Increase the emphasis on Achieving Value for the Organization and its customers

� Increase emphasis on Risk Management to achieve objectives

COMMITTEE DRAFT

� Identification of environmental aspects

and the associated environmental

impacts considering a life cycle

perspective

� The EMS is to manage environmental

aspects, compliance obligations, and

organizational risks and opportunities

(R&O)

� Value chain planning and control – A

new clause introducing a requirement to

ensure that upstream and downstream

processes related to significant aspects

are controlled or influenced.
