LUBE TECWhile the competitors’ scrapers require 12-25 grease points to be serviced twice daily, K-Tec earthmovers can be serviced in only minutes per day. With only two daily easy access grease points, and the other four grease points which only require greasing every 250 hours or every month. Greaseless bushings on all of our other hinge points can run up to 1200 hours before needing to be replaced. This means your labour hours are dedicated to loading for minimal downtime maximizing productivity.

LOAD TECOur LOAD TEC© system also includes us working with you to ensure equal pull occurs between the front and rear axle of the tractor. This balancing of the tractor is achieved by adding weight to the front of the tractor, which minimizes the stress placed on the rear axle. K-Tec developed a gooseneck hitch pole and quick attach hook up for the ADT scraper models so that 30% of the scraper’s load weight is transferred directly to the point of where the articulated dump turck is designed to carry weight.

TENSILE TECYears of field trials and materials performance analysis has enabled K-Tec to develop manufacturing and reinforcing techniques that make for the most durable pan scraper available. Using Hardox, Weldox steel technologies allows K-Tec to build stronger and lighter scrapers than competitors. Reinforcement with high tensile wear and structural steel in critical stress areas has established a PSI strength which is significantly greater than many competing scrapers.

The K-Tec 9.525 is built small and tough and peels up earth in any conditions. Designed specifically for jobs where maneuverability and width restrictions are an issue. It peels upto 25 yards of earth in any condition. Its durable bolt-together engineering means this unit can be disassembled and shipped cost-e�ectively in a standard 40 foot container.

The 1228 "Sand Shark" is designed to load well in all conditions and specializes in low ground pressure projects, and is proficient in sandy soil. With the option of 1000/50 R25 tires, the 1228 has the ability to become an exceptional LGP unit. Its versatility, proficiency in sand, and heaped capacity of 28 yards, make the 1228 one of our most popular models.

The K-Tec 1233 is the most popular model in the fleet. This multipurpose machine is a powerful worker in any soil condition with unmatched fuel efficiency and an amazing loading speed. The K-Tec 1233 has a heaped capacity of 33 cubic yards and has a bolt- together design and is able to ship by a standard 40 foot sea container.

The K-Tec 1236 has the best load to scraper weight ratio and the lowest cost per yard of any unit in the fleet. The 1236 has an extendable rack and sidewalls to contain stackable materials such as clay, and results in a heaped capacity of 36 cubic yards.

The K-Tec 1228 has versatility, making it K-Tec’s most popular models. The hitching system mounts onto a 25, 30, or 35-Ton articulated dump truck chassis, making the K-Tec 1228 ADT perfect for small jobsite applications.

The K-Tec 1233 ADT is designed for self loading with a 40-ton, 400+ horsepower rock truck. The 1233 ADT offers more power to the ground with the functionality from an existing rock truck unit. It features fast hydraulics, a smooth ride, and joystick scraper control.

The K-Tec Ox Block system replaces the front suitcase weights on the tractor, offering more weight in the front of the unit for a balanced weight distribution. The tractor may then be able to pull its own scraper, leveler, discer or packer while assisting as support equipment in the push-loading of another scraper.

A) All of the K-Tec scraper models up to 43 cubic yards can efficiently self-load. K-Tec has spent years of research and development in refining an optimal self-loading scraper. The resulting cutting edge angle & configuration, along with bowl dimensions attribute to advantageous self-loading. These factors allows K-Tec scrapers to maximize the horsepower provided by the power-unit.

Q) That scraper is huge! It can’t self-load, can it?

A) In most dirt conditions, we anticipate between 15,000 -20,000 hours before needing to replace the liners on our scrapers. K-Tec has been manufacturing scrapers for over 15 years, and every K-Tec Scraper made is still able in service today.

Q) What is the expected life span of the K-Tec scraper?

A) K-Tec has a vast dealership network spanning North America and Australia, where local dealers stock common parts on the shelf. For more unique parts, K-Tec has a U.S. based parts depot, and is able to ship “Next Day Air” to get you the parts that you need to keep moving material. K-Tec’s service team is experienced and flexible to provide technical and swift support to keep machine downtime at a minimum (traditionally less than 30 working hours).

Q) Is K-Tec able to meet my servicing needs for getting parts to my jobsite?
