About Internet of Things
3
The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of physical objects or
"things" embedded with electronics, software, sensors, and network connectivity, which enables these
objects to collect and exchange data. The Internet of Things allows objects to be sensed and controlled remotely across existing network infrastructure,
creating opportunities for more direct integration between the physical world and computer-based
systems, and resulting in improved efficiency, accuracy and economic benefit.

Business Insider: Tell us more
about the $1.4 billion valuation.
Jahangir Mohammed:
The investors really liked that we
are a pure play IoT company. And
it’s not a speculative business.
Every device we connect, we
charge a fee. It’s a very simple and
proven business model that has
been running for 10 years. http://www.businessinsider.sg/jasper-internet-of-things-

43
Strategic Control
Build its complementary assets
Connected with more than 25 mobile operators far more than any other IoT platform providers.
44
Strategic Control
Network Effect: more connected devices increases more demanding of SIM
card, hence attract more mobile operators to become collaborator
more mobile operators to become collaborator speed up Jasper’s clients to globalization. hence more customers willing to engage Jasper’s service.
The key advantages of Global SIM are: Seamlessly policy management Seamlessly diagnostics Seamlessly auditing Among local operators.
mobile operators are critical complementary assets!
45
Strategic Control
Economies of Scale
• Serving different markets Sell same service platform for the different companies, serves different markets
• Economies of scale in R&D
R&D is a fixed cost in many industries. Initially successful
firms such as Jasper, can spend more on R&D, which lead to better
products, higher profits, more money for R&D
smaller firms are acquired or exit the industry

49
Improvements & Alternative
● Jasper owns high-performance servers above the ‘Cloud’ providing data processing and maintenance service to customers.
● The bottleneck affecting user experience is not above “Cloud” but on the Lower physical layers.
50
It is the congestion in the traffic that affecting the performance of cloud computing.
51
Improvements & Alternative
● Investing physical IT infrastructure or starting their own dedicated network to improve connectivity, availability and network coverage.
● Jasper may go down stream towards their customers, to get closer to their customers to better understand their business model and needs.
● Using existing technologies to providing performance based revenue model.
● Investment on low energy wireless connection technology to increase device connection.
