Almquist Green Lakes CollectionArvin H. Almquist, pictured at right, was the original park superintendent of Green Lakes State Park. Almquist documented construction of the park’s roads, buildings, swimming and parking areas, and golf course. The photos depict the lives of the Civilian Conservation Corps workers who constructed these facilities. The photos were digitized by Almquist’s son, Richard, who grew up on park property. Of approximately 260 images, 120 have been uploaded to CNY Heritage.
