In 2009, the Barbados International Business Association (BIBA) recognised that in order to foster an increased appreciation among Barbadians for the international business sector, and its contribution to the Barbados economy, a greater thrust would have to be made to educate and inform the public of the necessity of this valuable sector. Thus, International Business Week was born, and it has been reported as a resounding success in each of the last three years that it has been staged.

The theme for International Business Week 2012 is “Innovation: Our Path to New Horizons”. This celebration of Barbados international business, which takes place annually in the last full week of October, comprises a series of exciting events achieved through

It is understood that this sponsorship agreement represents a legally binding obligation of the Sponsor and that the Barbados International Business Association (BIBA) is relying on the Sponsor to provide the cash payments as set forth for the sponsorship levels indicated below.

PaymeNt:Paymentmustbereceivednolaterthan10businessdaysfromthedatethesponsor’sofferisaccepted,or at least one calendar month prior to the event, whichever is sooner, in order to guarantee the Sponsor’s association with IBW 2O12. In the case of event sponsorship, where there is only one sponsorship opportunity, the first entity to submit a signed copy of the sponsorship agreement, commitment form, and payment within the stipulated time frame will be designated as the sponsor.

suBstItutIONs/CaNCellatIONs Any cancellation must be received in writing at least 28 days prior to the commencementoftheevent.Acancellationfeeof20%willbeincurredonallcancellationsreceivedbeforethistime.Afterthisdate,weregretcancellationscannotbeacceptedandsponsorswillbeliableforpaymentof100%ofthecommitted amount. Where payment has already been made, no refund will be given.

ImPOrtaNt NOtes: This sponsorship form constitutes a legally binding contract between BIBA and the Sponsor. It may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of BIBA to to make changes to the programme of events for IBW 2012, including (without limitation) changes to the content and timing of an event, the speakers and the date, or a venue. BIBA will use its reasonable endeavors to keep the Sponsor affected by such changes notified. In the unlikely occurrence of the Sponsor’s event being cancelled, BIBA will either refund the Sponsor’s fee or credit it forward to the sameorcomparableeventinIBW2013butdisclaimsanyfurtherliabilityandwillnotberesponsibleforanydirectorindirect losses howsoever caused.
