What is a LINE?

• A straight path in a plane that goes on forever in opposite directions

Example:

Place the left side of your angle along this side

What to do:

1) Use the straw to match the angle in your classroom. When you find an angle, bend the straw to match it.

• Hold the bent straw up to the Angle Finder. It will tell you which kind of angle you have found.

• As you find each type of angle, list on the Angle Chart.

• Then straighten out the straw and start again

Activity 2: Angles from A to Z

Angles are hiding everywhere even in the words you’re reading now. When two straight lines meet, they make an angle.

What to do:

1) Student will be given a handout that have work.

2) Ask them to take look at the letter in the word given.

3) Circle each angle they see in the lettets. Label whether it is right, acute or obtuse angle.
