Importance Of Planning In Activations
Ryan Rego
What is Planning?What is Planning?
Planning is one of the most important project management and time management techniques.
If you do it effectively, you can reduce much the necessary time and effort of achieving the goal.
Planning is preparing a sequence of action steps to achieve some specific goal.
Why Do We Need To Plan?
A plan is like a map. When following a plan, you can always see how much you have progressed towards your project goal and how far you are from your destination. Knowing where you are is essential for making good decisions on where to go or what to do next

One more reason why you need planning is again the 80/20 Rule. It is well established that for unstructured activities 80 percent of the effort give less than 20 percent of the valuable outcome. You either spend much time on deciding what to do next, or you are taking many unnecessary, unfocused, and inefficient steps.

Planning is also crucial for meeting your needs during each action step with your time, money, or other resources. With careful planning you often can see if at some point you are likely to face a problem. It is much easier to adjust your plan to avoid or smoothen a coming crisis, rather than to deal with the crisis when it comes unexpected.

5. VisionWhat do you want to achieve? Where does this fit into the ‘big picture’?
2. Challenge Accept the challenge and define and set realistic goals. Without goals, things drift
3. Timetable Work out a definite programme, including a plan of action, complete with deadlines
4. Overheads Estimate the cost of your budget, in terms not just of cash but also of time and materials.
6. You are there! But remember to keep checking how far you have traveled down the route
7. Roll it out Implement the plan and commit to the achievement of the goals.
Seven Steps To Effective Planning
1. Inventory Assess the situation. What might help or hinder your efforts?

Importance Of Planning In Activation
To initiate the planning of the presented plan for any Product or service starts with its feasibility or possibility of the plan operationally.
For E.g.
1. A plan of doing an SCP for a time frame of 4Hrs to 6Hrs without an educational motto ?
2. The plan of doing a road show in all 4 metropolitan cities.
Activational planning in the initiation stages, its very important to find out the feasibility of the plan presented.
1. We need to go thought the whole concept with all the queries in order to make a feasible logistic plan and cost.
2. Need to look into the integrity and the objective which would help to progress with the planning in accordance with the concept.
3. Need to look into the Pros and Cons which need to be brought about while executing the project.

Importance Of Planning In Activation
1. The first step in developing a plan for executing a project for a product or service is planning the logistics.
What is logistics?
Logistics is a detail mechanism which helps activity mangers and executioners to understand and implement all aspects and elements required for a particular activity
2. The next step is to budget for the logistics that have been planned.
3. If the activity has larger approach with huge cost involved, reach and ROI plan is made basis on cost and logistics to give detail and clear understanding of project and cost implications to the client.

Importance Of Planning In Activation
1. As per the logistics and planning made, every day check is made on all the elements to ensure the smooth flow of planning and execution on the day of the activity.
2. Regular visits are made at the site of the activity to ensure smooth flow and quality as per the plan.
3. To avoid crisis situations all elements are double checked on the day of the execution.
