• Memorandum of Understanding and the incorporated Positive Impacts of Mobility Program define the objectives, elements and spirit of collaboration;
• Incorporates strategic projects to support Government of South Africa in maximizing the potential of mobility in national development;

Nokia Data Gathering enables field workers to collect, send and receive information quickly and securely via a mobile phone, at any time and from any place. The solution can be used for data collections needs in sectors such as health, agriculture, environmental conservation, population census and emergency services. Proposal for South Africa: Nokia will provide the NDG platform to Government of South Africa and ensure that relevant government departments have the necessary training to fully leverage the potential of the platform. 8
What is a LABLET ? • LABLETs are NRC´s extension within the main
university partners.
• The main function of the LABLETs is to create seamless collaboration platform for the university and NRC.
• This aims at creation of Nokia relevant Open Innovation environment to get the latest technological innovations and talents to contribute to Nokia.
• LABLET occupies typically 1-2 NRC personnel and 10-20 university students/researchers in projects.
• LABLETs are located within the universities, in the university buildings, where Nokia pays lease.
