WHY HR EXCELLENCE?
• The need for a look at HR Excellence has been expressed by many.
• The HR-‐Class Model was born out of this need under the leadership of Yogi Sriram, President NHRD Network, Mumbai

• Experience with other global models.
• Indian experience of organiza8ons in developing their own criteria
• A holis8c view of Excellence – beyond driving processes
• Pilot runs helped iron out many issues
OBJECTIVES • To establish benchmarks of excellence in the HR profession
as it is prac8ced today
• To enable companies to create and sustain their efforts to achieve excellence in HR prac8ces and processes
• To showcase, reward, and recognize excellence in process,
leadership and culture of the HR func8on

Scoring is on a 1000 point scale Results data will be assessed for the previous 12 months period.

WHAT IS UNIQUE ABOUT HR-‐CLASS • Oden, processes are designed in excellent ways, but live
only on paper and in informa8on flows.
• Bureaucracy oden creeps in and brings inflexibility to processes.
• The model recognizes that process excellence works if there is leadership and cultural excellence to support it.
• Qualita8ve and quan8ta8ve evidence is factored in the assessment process.
