How does Malaysia government help?

• The tax deductions announced during Budget 2014 – Encourage businesses to include female talent through the implementation of

flexible work arrangements

• More support facilities such as childcare centre should be established to assist women who were looking to rejoin the work force– the employers are resisting it because it is very expensive to do so.

• “Business could apply for a double tax deduction for both consultancy and training cost up to a maximum of RM500,000”, said Talent Corp.

As long as…

• Technology are widely available that allows remote to access instructions, communications and reporting.

• A degree of trust needed to be established between the employer and employee first before such arrangements were put into place or offered.

• The staff needs to show more promptness, responsibility and common sense in balancing their work/life ratio.

• Companies clearly define how flexi hours are going to work and their expectations.
