We are all hopeful that 2009 will be a better year than a few of the last ones have been.  2009 will be a better year if we resolve to do our  individual part towards making that so.  I am a firm believer that the best way we can initiate the kind of change that we want is to try as hard as we can to do our best work and to help others to be  successful in the work they are doing.  This kind of collaboration can only yield positive results and will hopefully shorten the amount of time that we will be digging ourselves out of this mess.   

  Our thing is trying to give you good information that you can use and that will inspire you to  continue to work towards a better future for  yourselves and our planet.     

  Your thing, whatever that is, combined with your interest in a better future makes your contribution all that much more important.  If there is some way that we can help you to be more successful get in touch and let’s see what we can do.    

  We will continue in this coming year to try our best to bring you great, cool, interesting, useful  information.  You will see many new companies, products, projects, and organizations on our  website and we are working on some great new programs that we are excited to roll‐out over the course of 2009.  The Green Home Tours resume this month and as you continue to read you will learn more about how you can keep up‐to‐date with green building projects that are going on all over the area.

Green Builders Blog  

  January kicks off a new project for us that we hope will keep you up‐to‐date and informed about what’s going on in Seattle area green building.  Over time we have received a greater and greater number of requests asking for the names of green builders in Seattle that we  believe are doing the best work.       It can take a lot of time to keep up with  builders and their projects so we thought you might appreciate being able to come to one place to find what your looking for.  We have started gathering up who we think are the best green builders in the city and will be  introducing you to who they are and then make it easy for you to follow their work and get out and see their projects.   There are a couple of ways we will be keeping this conversation going.  One will be to update you from time to time on the progress of  selected projects and the other will be to use the design, features and techniques employed in the construction of these homes to deliver a  continuous supply of interesting information.    You will also find a green builders page on our website that will take you directly to the  builders sites.  If you are looking to purchase  a green home the builders pages can be an  excellent resource for you.    These pages are presented in blog format and we encourage you to comment on the posts and share information amongst yourselves and with us.  If you would like we encourage you to join our RSS feed and follow along that way.   It is hard to stay on top of every project in the city so if you know of one that you don’t see on the site, let us know and we will be sure to  contact the builder and see if they would like to share their information with all of us.          

A New Home For  GreenDwellingSeattle.com Please take just a moment to go and see the new GreenDwellingSeattle website.  We are in the process of having a new site built that can handle the functionality we will need for  projects you will hear more about later this year, but in the meantime we wanted to make it easier for us to share information back and forth.   You will find almost everything that was on the old site, and even a few new additions.  As we build the new site we would like to know what you would like to see there.  Please send your suggestions and we will try to do what we can to truly make GreenDwellingSeattle a  one‐stop‐shop for green building and greater green community information.  Thanks as  always for seeing value in what we are doing and for your continued support.
